Cancer is scary stuff. And so is the way Heather Farnsworth is fighting back. This family isn't taking the news lying down, but are fighting to scare back cancer with positive vibes, laughter, and a little Halloween Horror mixed in. Heather and her family created "Cancer Bites" to raise money for cancer research.
Heather's mom has survived four different types of cancer. They have a unique way of raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Institute through grassroots, along with enjoying some B rated horror movies. Instead of the typical fun run or carnival, they invite people out to a night of creepy fun.
We wanted this effort to continue every year, so we decided to "Pay it Forward". Mountain America's Marshall Paepke donated $500 on behalf of the credit union to help Cancer Bite's cause.
